Flojaune "Flo" Cofer is a Sacramento epidemiologist and public-health policy advocate. She earned bachelor's degrees in chemistry and women's studies from Spelman College and an MPH and PhD in epidemiology from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her work has included the California Department of Public Health and Public Health Advocates, where she led health-equity, prevention, and emergency-response policy initiatives. She also served four terms as chair of Sacramento's Measure U Community Advisory Committee and served on local transportation, climate, and public-safety advisory bodies.
