Elections Simplified AI Research and Election Information Disclaimer
Last updated: July 18, 2026 Version: 1.1
1. Informational purposes only
The Elections Simplified service and its operator, impactperdollar ("Elections Simplified," "we," "us," or "our"), provide information about elections, candidates, ballot measures, campaign finance, voting districts, and related civic data for general informational, educational, and civic-research purposes only.
Elections Simplified is not a government agency, election office, political committee, campaign, law firm, financial adviser, tax adviser, or professional adviser. Elections Simplified does not provide legal, election-law, campaign-finance, political, financial, tax, voting-eligibility, ballot-casting, or professional advice. Use of Elections Simplified does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, advisory, representative, agency, or professional relationship.
If you need advice about voter eligibility, voter registration, election law, ballot initiatives, petition circulation, campaign activity, campaign finance, political advertising, tax status, or legal compliance, consult the appropriate election authority or a qualified attorney.
2. AI-assisted content and data limitations
Content on Elections Simplified may be generated, summarized, classified, matched, ranked, enriched, translated, or organized using automated systems, artificial intelligence, public records, third-party data, and other sources. Some content may be subject to human review, but not all content is human-reviewed before display.
AI-assisted systems and source data can be wrong. Elections Simplified content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, mislabeled, misclassified, misleading, unavailable, or not applicable to your address, district, ballot, eligibility, or circumstances.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, neutrality, availability, legality, or applicability of any content on Elections Simplified. Results reflect information available when they were generated; we have no obligation to update any previously generated result unless required by law.
3. Not an official election source; official sources control
Elections Simplified is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or acting on behalf of any federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, or foreign election authority, unless expressly stated in a signed written agreement.
Elections Simplified content is not official election information. Official election information must be verified directly with the relevant government election authority.
You are responsible for verifying all election-related information with official sources before relying on it or taking any election-related action, including information about: voter registration status; voting eligibility; district assignment; ballot contents; candidate lists; ballot measure text; polling place; vote center; drop box; voting hours; voter identification requirements; registration deadlines; absentee ballot rules; mail ballot rules; provisional ballots; early voting; election results; recounts; and certification.
If Elections Simplified content conflicts with an official election source, the official election source controls.
You should not use Elections Simplified as your sole or authoritative source for where, when, whether, or how to register, vote, return a ballot, cure a ballot, update registration, or confirm election results.
Elections Simplified does not register voters, cast ballots, submit ballot requests, verify registration, confirm eligibility, or certify election results.
4. Do not delay, skip, or change voting action based only on Elections Simplified
Do not decide not to vote, delay voting, skip registration, miss a deadline, change your voting method, go to a different voting location, or disregard instructions from election officials based only on Elections Simplified.
This applies equally to notification and reminder emails: they are provided on a best-effort basis, may be delayed, filtered, blocked, or not delivered, and may reflect data that has since changed. Do not rely on receiving any notification or reminder from Elections Simplified to meet a registration deadline, ballot deadline, election date, or any other obligation.
If you are unsure about any voting issue, contact your state or local election office immediately.
5. Address lookup and district matching
Address lookup, geocoding, district matching, ballot matching, and jurisdiction matching are provided only as estimates to help identify elections and civic information that may be relevant to an address.
These features may be affected by geocoding errors, boundary changes, redistricting, missing data, typographical errors, apartment or unit issues, data-source delays, and differences between residential address, mailing address, registration address, and precinct records.
A matched address, district, precinct, jurisdiction, polling place, ballot, or election shown on Elections Simplified is not an official determination of where you live, where you are registered, where you are eligible to vote, where you must vote, what ballot you will receive, or what districts apply to you.
6. Ballot measures and "yes/no" explanations
Elections Simplified may provide summaries of ballot measures, propositions, initiatives, referenda, amendments, recalls, or other ballot questions, including explanations of what a "yes" or "no" vote may mean.
These summaries are for general educational purposes only. They may omit details, simplify complex legal language, reflect interpretation, or fail to capture all legal, fiscal, practical, or local consequences.
Before voting or taking a position on a ballot measure, read the full official ballot text, official voter guide, fiscal analysis, legal analysis, and any official materials from the relevant election authority.
7. Candidate profiles, records, labels, and summaries
Elections Simplified may provide candidate profiles, public records, biographies, voting records, campaign statements, public statements, issue labels, research-area labels, or other candidate-related content.
Candidate-related content may be incomplete, outdated, misattributed, incorrectly summarized, or based on sources that themselves contain errors. Labels, summaries, and classifications are informational research aids only and are not conclusive factual findings, legal conclusions, endorsements, accusations, or determinations of a candidate's character, qualifications, intent, or views.
Users should review the cited source materials, candidate websites, official filings, public records, and other primary sources before relying on candidate-related content.
Candidate-related content is intended to summarize identified sources, not to make independent factual assertions. Where a source link or citation is shown, it identifies the public record, government filing, or reporting the content is drawn from; Elections Simplified relays and summarizes what those sources say and does not independently verify or adopt the truth of the underlying source material. Labels, research-area classifications, scores, and similar designations are Elections Simplified's methodology-driven research judgments — expressions of opinion, not statements of independently verified fact.
8. Metrics, scores, ordering, and rankings
Elections Simplified may display metrics, estimates, scores, ordering, rankings, comparisons, or labels, including election competitiveness estimates, vote-power-related metrics, campaign finance summaries, candidate comparison metrics, or other derived measurements.
These metrics are estimates based on selected data and methodology. They may be incomplete, outdated, sensitive to assumptions, or unsuitable for your purpose. They do not measure the value, legality, eligibility, importance, morality, or likely effect of your individual vote.
No score, metric, ranking, label, ordering, or comparison on Elections Simplified is an endorsement, opposition statement, voting recommendation, legal conclusion, or instruction to vote or not vote.
9. Nonpartisanship; no endorsement
Elections Simplified is intended to operate as an independent, nonpartisan civic-information service.
Unless clearly marked as paid, sponsored, or advertising content, nothing on Elections Simplified — or in its emails or other communications — constitutes an endorsement of, opposition to, or recommendation regarding any candidate, political party, committee, campaign, ballot measure, ideology, public official, donor, organization, or ballot position.
The inclusion, exclusion, ordering, labeling, summarization, scoring, or display of any candidate, election, office, party, ballot measure, committee, donor, or source does not imply endorsement, opposition, preference, approval, disapproval, or a conclusive factual determination.
10. Campaign finance information
Elections Simplified may display campaign finance summaries, contribution data, expenditure data, committee information, donor categories, funding patterns, or other financial information derived from government filings, public records, third-party databases, or other sources.
Campaign finance information may lag official records, contain reporting errors, reflect amendments, omit late filings, be aggregated, be estimated, or be interpreted differently by different sources.
Elections Simplified does not provide campaign-finance compliance advice. Candidates, committees, donors, treasurers, campaigns, political organizations, and other regulated persons should consult the relevant election authority, campaign-finance regulator, and qualified counsel.
You may not use Elections Simplified or any campaign finance information obtained through Elections Simplified for any unlawful purpose, including prohibited solicitation, commercial use, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or misuse of contributor information.
11. Election results
Election results displayed on Elections Simplified are informational only. They are not official, final, certified, or complete unless confirmed directly by the relevant election authority.
Unofficial results may change because of late-arriving ballots, provisional ballots, cured ballots, audits, recounts, canvassing, certification, litigation, reporting corrections, or other official processes.
Always check the relevant election authority for official results and certification status.
12. Third-party sources and links
Elections Simplified may rely on or link to third-party sources, including government filings, election websites, legislative records, court records, campaign finance databases, candidate websites, news reporting, nonprofit research, mapping providers, data vendors, and other external sources.
We do not control third-party sources and are not responsible for their accuracy, completeness, availability, security, legality, or content.
Links are provided for convenience, attribution, and verification. A link does not imply endorsement.
13. Prohibited misuse
You may not use Elections Simplified or its content to suppress voting, discourage lawful voting, mislead voters, intimidate voters, harass candidates or voters, impersonate election officials, falsely claim government authority, interfere with election administration, violate campaign-finance law, violate privacy law, discriminate unlawfully, or make automated decisions about any person's rights, eligibility, access, or legal status.
You may not use Elections Simplified as a substitute for legally required notices, official election communications, campaign disclaimers, legal filings, compliance records, voter registration systems, ballot return systems, or official election administration tools.
14. Privacy and address information
When you enter an address, search query, account information, or other information into Elections Simplified, we process that information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Address and search information may reveal sensitive information about a person, household, location, voting district, political interests, or civic activity. Do not submit information unless you have the right to do so and understand how it will be handled under our Privacy Policy.
15. Error reports and corrections
If you believe any Elections Simplified content is inaccurate, outdated, misleading, or harmful, please report it to contact@electionssimplified.com.
We may review reports, update content, remove content, add warnings, or decline to make changes in our discretion. We do not guarantee correction, response, or update on any particular timeline.
For urgent voting issues, contact your state or local election office directly. Do not wait for Elections Simplified to respond.
Subjects of content. If you are a candidate, public official, or other person described in Elections Simplified content — or their authorized representative — and you believe content about you is false or misleading, email contact@electionssimplified.com with "CORRECTION" in the subject line, identifying the specific content at issue and providing the correct information with supporting sources. We prioritize review of these reports and will correct, remove, annotate, or contextualize content that we determine to be materially false, subject to the discretion described above.

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO ANY ELECTION-RELATED DECISION, VOTING-RELATED DECISION, REGISTRATION-RELATED DECISION, CAMPAIGN-RELATED DECISION, POLITICAL DECISION, OR OTHER ACTION TAKEN OR NOT TAKEN IN RELIANCE ON ELECTIONS SIMPLIFIED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELECTIONS SIMPLIFIED'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO ELECTIONS SIMPLIFIED OR ITS CONTENT WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ELECTIONS SIMPLIFIED FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, the disclaimers and limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
