Marcy Kaptur is the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 9th Congressional District, in office since 1983 and the longest-serving woman in the history of the U.S. House of Representatives. A Toledo Democrat, she is a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee and a leading voice on manufacturing, trade, and Great Lakes issues. She faces a 2026 rematch with Republican Derek Merrin in a district redrawn to lean more Republican.
