A San Antonio Southside native and community organizer for about 15 years, she has worked as a regional director for the Democratic National Committee, on campaigns for Hillary Clinton, Gina Ortiz Jones, and Wendy Davis, registered thousands of Texas voters, and led Affordable Care Act enrollment work. She ran unopposed in the March 2026 primary and faces Republican Jorge Borrego in November.
