  • Introduced an Arizona bill as its lead sponsor (House Bill 2884). It set rules for private schools that take Empowerment Scholarship Account money, the state funds families can spend on private school. It proposed requiring every staff member at those schools to hold a fingerprint background-check clearance card. It also proposed that anyone teaching hold a college degree, three years of teaching experience, or expertise in the subject. It called for a yearly check of each school by the state auditor general. The bill was held in the Rules Committee and never got a floor vote.
