Supports: Social Programs and Welfare
This keeps an existing county property tax for child protection running instead of letting it expire. It renews a 0.80-mill levy — about $16 a year for every $100,000 of the county auditor's market value of a home — for five more years, charged on the 2026 tax duplicate and collected from 2027 through 2031. The money pays for Clermont County children services and the care and placement of children removed from their homes. The rate is unchanged from the levy now in place, so it is a renewal rather than a new or higher tax. If the levy is not renewed, the county says children services funding runs out in June 2027 and Ohio law requires Clermont County to pay placement costs out of its general fund instead.

A YES vote means
The 0.80-mill children services property tax keeps being collected for five more years, 2027 through 2031, at roughly $16 a year per $100,000 of your home's market value, and that money continues to pay for county children services and the care and placement of children.
A NO vote means
The levy is not renewed and this roughly $16 per $100,000 property tax charge ends. The county says children services funding would run out in June 2027, and Ohio law would require Clermont County to pay the cost of placing children out of its general fund.
