Ballot Measure
Frederick County now limits Council members to three consecutive four-year terms and the County Executive to two consecutive four-year terms, allowing either to run again after a break. This amendment would make those lifetime limits: three terms for a Council member and two for the Executive. An appointee who serves at least two years of a partial term would still have it count as one term.

Current consecutive-term limits would remain, allowing a former officeholder to run again after a break.
