Felipe Sousa-Lazaballet is the Democratic nominee for Florida House District 42 (Orange County/Orlando) in the 2026 general election for the open seat vacated by Anna Eskamani. An immigrant-rights advocate and Executive Director of the Hope CommUnity Center, he previously served about five years on Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer's staff, including as a point of contact for those affected by the Pulse tragedy. He has not previously held elected office.
