San Bernardino County's existing 0.5% transportation sales tax is scheduled to expire in 2040. Measure I would continue it without raising the rate until voters end it. The tax is estimated to raise $250 million yearly for roads, highways, bridges, and reduced transit fares. Audits, oversight, spending disclosure, and local control would be required. Passage needs two-thirds approval.
