He was the Grassroots-Legalize Cannabis Party nominee for Minnesota state auditor in 2022 and is running in the 2026 Republican primary for the same office. Reporting from his 2022 campaign identified him as a libertarian-leaning political activist who chaired the Minnesota Taxation is Theft political action committee and served on the South St. Paul library board.
