T. W. Shannon is the Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma in 2026, winning the June primary with about 54% of the vote. He served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2007 to 2015 and was Speaker of the House from 2013 to 2015, the first African-American and Chickasaw to hold that post. He ran for U.S. Senate in 2014 and 2022, and in 2025 briefly served as a senior advisor on rural prosperity at the U.S. Department of Agriculture before resigning to campaign.
