Alex Ybarra is Washington's state representative for Legislative District 13 Position 2 and a Republican candidate for the district's Senate seat. Appointed and then elected in 2019, he serves in House leadership and on education, labor, and energy committees. A lifelong Quincy resident, he holds degrees in mathematics and business administration and previously worked as an aerospace engineer and in leadership and analyst roles at Grant County PUD; he also served on the Quincy School Board and State Commission on Hispanic Affairs.
