The Wyandotte County Economic Development and Finance Committee voted 4-1 in July 2026 to cancel the request for proposals on the former Indian Springs Mall site. The vote ended Murray's Midtown Station plan, a housing-and-retail project he had pursued since 2022 that he said needed no county taxpayer money. Murray said the committee overlooked years of work and that his team was not giving up.
