Charlane Oliver is the Democratic Tennessee state senator for District 19 and vice-chair of both the Senate Democratic Caucus and Tennessee Black Caucus of State Legislators. First elected in 2022, she is a Vanderbilt University graduate with a University of Tennessee Master of Public Administration. Her career spans nonprofit executive leadership, public-sector governance, strategic communications, and grassroots organizing, including co-founding The Equity Alliance in 2016.
