Sherrod Brown

Sherrod Brown is the 2026 Democratic nominee in Ohio's U.S. Senate special election, seeking to return to the seat after losing his 2024 re-election to Bernie Moreno. A progressive known for labor and trade politics, he served three terms in the U.S. Senate (2007-2025), seven terms in the U.S. House (1993-2007), as Ohio Secretary of State (1983-1991), and in the Ohio House (1975-1982). He holds a Yale degree and Ohio State master's degrees, and faces Republican appointed incumbent Jon Husted in November.
