Priya Sundareshan is a Democratic Arizona state senator from Tucson who has represented Legislative District 18 since 2023 and serves as Senate Democratic Leader in the 57th Legislature. She teaches natural-resources law at the University of Arizona and previously worked as an attorney for the Environmental Defense Fund. Sundareshan earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from MIT and both a law degree and a master's degree in natural-resource economics from the University of Arizona.
