Sharon MacDonell is the Democratic state representative for Michigan's 56th District, first elected in 2022. She earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Michigan and worked as a writer, journalist, video producer, and marketing and video manager. Before entering the Legislature, she co-founded Troy Indivisible and chaired the Troy Democratic Club.
