Sponsored House Bill 2484, which became Arizona law in April 2025 as Chapter 53. It makes every school district board and charter school governing body set and enforce rules on student internet access at school. Those rules must restrict access to social media platforms. Teachers may still let students use social media as far as schoolwork requires. The rules must also limit students' use of phones and other wireless devices during the school day. Students may still use them for teacher-directed schoolwork or in an emergency.
