Edwin Obras is the assistant majority whip and state representative for Washington's 33rd Legislative District. King County appointed him to the House in December 2024, and voters elected him in 2025. He previously spent 18 years at Seattle's Human Services Department, ending as a division director, chaired the SeaTac Human Services Advisory Committee, and served as president of the Filipino Community of Seattle. He holds degrees from the University of Washington and Northeastern University.
