Jose Alvarez is the Democratic state representative for Florida House District 46 and a candidate in the 2026 Democratic primary. A Cuban American immigrant, real-estate broker, and former Kissimmee commissioner and mayor, he also served as HUD regional administrator for the southeastern United States before his 2024 election to the Florida House.
