Jennifer Canady is a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives for District 50 (Polk County/Lakeland), first elected in 2022 and in her second term. She chairs the House Education & Employment Committee and has been designated by House Republicans as the presumptive Speaker for 2028-2029, which would make her the first woman to lead the Florida House. A former educator, she holds a B.S. in elementary education from Florida State University and an M.A. in special education from the University of South Florida.
