Wrote an Alaska bill requiring a doctor performing an abortion to use the method giving the fetus the best chance of surviving, unless that method would seriously risk the woman's life or health. It also would have required practitioners present to try to save any infant removed alive. The bill stayed in committee and did not pass (House Bill 283, 2020).
