  • Worked with four local churches to launch a free health clinic in a church basement in 2001, and led it as executive director until late 2022. The clinic, which serves uninsured people earning under 250 percent of the poverty level, was renamed the Cook Community Clinic in honor of its founders and served 1,605 residents in 2022.
