Hontas Farmer is the 2026 Libertarian nominee for Cook County Clerk. Farmer is a physics lecturer at Chicago State University, earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree from DePaul University, and researches gravitational-wave physics as a member of the LISA Fundamental Physics Working Group. Farmer has also taught at Chicago-area colleges and served as an adjunct-faculty union representative.
