Before joining the Legislature, he spent a decade working across local, state, and federal government, most recently as Governor Jay Inslee's Northwest Washington Regional Representative and previously as Western Washington University's Assistant Director of Government Relations. He graduated from Western Washington University and the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.
