  • Helped build the Hopkins County jail's I.N.M.A.T.E. program with Sheriff Lewis Tatum and Jail Administrator Kenneth Dean. The program works with at-risk young people to cut repeat offending. Cummings also taught newly elected judges for the Texas Justice Court Training Center starting in 2019 and served as a mentor judge for the Texas State Commission on Judicial Conduct, the state agency that disciplines judges.
